REPORTS TO: Kitchen Manager

POSITION SUMMARY: Supervises all aspects of Kitchen operations to ensure a productive and efficient workplace and assures quality of food being sent out to customers. Creates a positive atmosphere for employees and guests. Works morning, evening, and Saturday shifts. We are closed on Sunday!

QUALIFICATIONS: Must be a multi-tasker, highly motivated, have excellent communication skills, effective leadership abilities with the ability to motivate others. Must be familiar with each BOH positions. Character must be one that displays maturity in interpersonal communication, one of honesty, integrity and dependability, and one who maintains an overall positive attitude, especially towards our guests.

SPECIFIC TASKS:

  • Is willing and able to fill the positions of kitchen staff on occasion
  • Oversee 5-9 team members (Prep, Buffet, Line Cooks, Dishwashers) during shift.
  • Keep all BOH areas running smoothly.
  • Assist each area as needed.
  • Oversee clean-ups and preventive maintenance of different depts.
  • Consistently enforce and support LFC polices and guidelines.
  • Communicate any concerns, problems or ideas with management.
  • Participate and/or attend in meetings.
  • Assign employee break times when applicable.
  • Assist with busy periods.
  • Perform opening and closing procedures.
  • Performing food orders and communicating with vendors.
  • Perform all additional tasks as described in manual.
  • Shifts are 4am-12pm, 6am-3pm and 2PM – 9PM. Some Saturdays are required. Closed Sundays!

PREREQUISITES:

EDUCATION: High School graduate or equivalent preferred. Must be able

to speak, read, write and understand English. Basic computer skills helpful.

EXPERIENCE: Minimum 2 years experience working in the restaurant industry with experience in leadership, food preparation, food ordering and general workflow of a kitchen

PHYSICAL: Must be able to stand and work quickly for up to five (5) hours. Must be able to bend and stoop, and lift items weighing up to 20 pounds.
